VISION STATEMENT


City Chapel is a vibrant local network of friends and families with a city wide reach   and a global focus. We will lovingly from house to house reach theindigenous British   and peoples from all nations, training them with Kingdom principles to live and love   like Jesus Christ. We aim to replicate this model starting from London, into other   cities across the UK/Continents and generations.

 

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Using the Great Commandment to unite people from all cultures and spheres into   the Great Commission for personal and social transformation.

 

City Chapel is a church in Beckton, East London being pioneered by Jonathan and   Abbiih Oloyede who have over 15 years Pastoral and Ministry experience. With a heart to serve the local community and beyond, the Chapel was founded in autumn 2008 in collaboration with friends and regional networks. It will be affiliated with the Evangelical Alliance, Churches Together in England and the national New-wine Network.

 
 
City Chapel’s basic DNA can be articulated simply through five core themes:

To project/teach the Person of Jesus Christ as our ultimate model and example-1Peter 2:21

 

To encourage every believer to read, absorb and live the Word- Psalm 119
   
   
 Character
 

To disciple believers into maturity with values, ethics and lifestyles that exemplify the ethos of God’s Kingdom: justice, equality, honesty, righteousness and truth. – Colossians 3

 

To reproduce another generation whose bedrock are these values drawn out from the fruit of the Spirit and Jesus’ beatitudes.  – Matthew 5
   
   
 Charisma
 

To train and raise a body of believers who believe in Prayer, the supernatural, miracles and the power of the Holy Spirit. Acts 1-5

 

To activate and identify the gifts of the Holy Spirit and divine calling in every believer for effective witness and advancement of the Kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 12
   
   
 Commission
 

The City Chapel movement shall emphasise the Great Commission and the preaching of the Gospel to everyone. Matthew 28: 18-20

 

That every believer should have a lifestyle of Soul-winning. Mark 16:17, Acts 8:4

Create a cohesive community where everyone of any class, colour, creed or culture can belong irrespective of behaviour or belief – Acts 2:44

 

To ACT out our faith in local community through social initiatives which will benefit everybody and for the common good – Matthew 5: 16
